Current and Upcoming Make-alongs!

Good day Crafties!

Who doesn't love a good make-a-long to spice up the WIP basket?

There's a few going on right now in my circle and I'd love to share them with you today!

First, Tina over at Awenydd Yarn and Fiber started a couple about 4 months ago, which I'm trying my hardest to keep up with 😅.

You may have seen glimpses of the Morning Glory sweater I'm designing. I started it with the intent on joining the MAL.

So here, she explains them both way better than I can 😅. But basically, there is one where you're required to use her yarn for at least 50% of a project. I'd just gotten a sweater quantity from her so I knew I could start right then and there. Her other MAL is affectionately called "Clown Barf", wild right? In this one you're to make something out of 100% acrylic in loud gaudy variegated yarn. I love it!

As of May 29, 2026, I've yet to start on the latter project. Stuff's been hectic but maybe I'll still get to it this year? Who knows?!

Okay, the next couple of MALs are hosted by my friends over at Politically Incorrect Knitters! Anne goes into a little more detail on her blog but both MALs will run for the entire months of June & July. I can't wait to see everyone's patriotic makes this year as we ring in America's 250th!

Even more exciting, I joined in to be one of the sponsors for their annual Shark Week event! I'd joined into the one they hosted a few years back but I've sat it out for obvious reasons these last couple of years 😅.

The whole premise is to start and complete a project within the allotted time or else the shark gets you and you have to frog!

All crafts are welcome and we're currently waiting for the official rules and theme(s) to be released.
