Hello Super Crafties! Last spring break, I started working on a baby blanket for a friend. I was the first person she told and revealed the gender to so, I felt inclined to make her something special. This was something I'd missed doing for people in general and was a nice refresher. Now I want to share this simple design with all of you!

2020 was a year of great reflection for many people, myself included. While confined, I stitched up the shawl and called it the Airways Shawl because it reminded me of a bird's wings; uninhibited and free. Today we'll be taking a look at this easy, spring time design! The Meramec Crossing Scarf was a concept I came up with in 2018 while studying for my associates degree. The campus I'd attended that year was sprawling with a lot of nature areas for horticulture studies and what not. It wasn't the clusters of trees exactly that inspired this scarf but simply that nature greatly motivates me to create. Happy September, Super Crafties! I thought this month would be an excellent time to release this vibrant pattern. Autumn is (unofficially) here and these months are going to roll by quickly. This shawl was inspired by the song Hold Me Tight Or Don't that was released in 2018. I hadn't seen the music video yet but it was definitely giving me neon slow-dance-at-a-rave feels. Now I think it really fits in with how I perceive the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead, as an outsider.

The real concept for the Genesis Top came to me during Bible study a few years back as I was gaining revelations about the true nature of God's love. Mixed with a love for incorporating biblical puns into my titles, the Genesis Top was born. This pattern was meant to showcase how vibrant God's love is for humanity and in my own life.
