Mountain Hermit Knitted Shrug Pattern [Early Release]

Materials Needed

CYC 4 (medium weight) yarn - Red Heart Super Saver in Light Sage x 4










Abbreviations


C/O - Cast on


K - knit


P - purl


*] - Repeat from * to end


M1 - Make 1 increase


ch - chain


sc - single crochet


sc3tog - single crochet 3 together


sl st - slip stitch


Pattern:

C/O 152 or in mults of 2 + 2 for selvedge


Row 1: selvedge, K69, P1, K10, P1, K69, selvedge


Row 2: selvedge, P69, K1, P10, K1, P69, selvedge


Row 3: selvedge, K69, P1, K10, P1, K69, selvedge


Row 4: selvedge, *P1, K1, selvedge


Rows 5 - 16: Repeat Rows 1-4


Row 17: selvedge, K69, P1,[ Cross left K5], P1, K69, selvedge


Row 18: selvedge, P69, K1, P10, K1, P69, selvedge


Row 19: selvedge, K69, P1, K10, P1, K69, selvedge


Row 20: selvedge, *P1, K1, selvedge

Cast off.


Lay fabric out wrong side up. Fold fabric (hamburger style) making sure the wrong side is still facing up and seam together the ends, with either the darning needle or crochet hook, so that you have an armhole on each side and an opening for the body in the center.


The Collar:


Round 1 - While keeping the work inside out, connect yarn with your crochet hook and ch 1.

Proceed to sc into each “stitch” around the body. When you reach the corners under the arms of the garment sc3tog. Join the row with a sl st and pull up a loop


Round 2 - With your circular needles, pick up a stitch in each of the sc around


Round 3 & 4 - P2, K2


Round 5 - *P2, K1, M1,K1]


Round 6-10 - P2, K3


Cast off with elastic bind off.
