Simple & Fabulous Crochet Short Curtains

Updated: Jun 5, 2022

Ah yes, I'm at it again with the crochet curtains. For Crafties who've been around for a while, this project is not a new one. Though I've been crocheting and knitting short curtains for my basement dwelling for years, I didn't come out with a tutorial on them until spring or summer of 2020.

You see, since then, we've had new neighbors to move in to the previously vacant house next door. And I have a bare window on that side of the house down here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not paranoid but... I am. So I'm going to be putting up a new rod and crocheting a curtain for my hallway.

I could use the panel ones that I created for the above tutorial but... I have this yarn that's been in my stash for a while and I think I'll use that instead. You see, I have this skein of Bernat Bundle Brights in Banana Split because I wanted to fashion a rug out of it for my room. For this particular curtain, I want something that totally blocks out anyone's view into my subterranean paradise.

In the past, I've mainly used T-Shirt yarn to complete this project.

All in all, here are the materials that I'll be using for my next crochet project:

1 - Adjustable Curtain Rod

1 - skein of Bernat Bundle Brights

4 - 5 cabone rings or shower curtain rings (if you want to be able to remove the curtain later without taking down the rod itself)

1 - 10 mm crochet hook

I can't wait to show this off on IG!
